We collaborate with organisations who support people in the community. Whenever we can, we work with our volunteers and students to create meals for social good - we will obtain donated ingredients from organisations such as the Lincoln Community Grocery Store and Bridge Community Hub Food Bank and we will batch cook lovely and nutritious meals!
Recently we have worked with Octopus Energy, Bridge Church, ECHO and St John's Church in Bracebridge Heath where we have fed hundreds of people! We facilitated a real sense of community and some of those we fed received their first hot meal in days through our event - something which signifies how important community meals are to people - they provide a safe space for everyone and anyone to come together through tasty and healthy food, something that people have been doing for millennia. Let's also not forget the sense of pride that our volunteers get by helping others - community meals are definitely one of our favourite things to do!
