We are delivering multiple projects around Lincoln and Lincolnshire which are aimed at building people's confidence in creating healthy, tasty and above all budget-friendly meals for themselves and their families! Times are financially tough for all of us - although we know that more people are relying on food banks than ever before, so many people we talk to are telling us that they are struggling to afford the food that they took for granted not so long ago. We are determined to deliver these budget cooking courses where we can to help folk to learn more about batch cooking, using more cost effective ingredients like beans and pulses, choosing fresh and making from scratch rather than buying ultra-processed.
Through the City of Lincoln Council, and their Lincoln Community Lottery which is facilitated by Lincoln VCS, we are delivering 14 cookery sessions across the city. The City Council have also funded us to deliver 16 additional sessions across the city through the Household Support Fund!
