Our first project was with Gainsborough Adventure Playground Association. Our goal was to helpĀ the group to bring in new people and families as well as look at how they could use food to educate, bring people together and support the local community. We worked with some passionate and kind people who gave their time freely to help their local community and we learned how important GAPA is and has been to this local area for many years - a truly unique 'community asset'.

We have also worked with the amazing people at Gainsborough Men's Shed. We delivered cookery sessions at 'the shed' and supported the group to think about how to maintain this beyond our involvement. They are putting in a new kitchen within their shed and will be cooking meals for their members and the local community! The group have so much experience and talent within their ranks, we hope that they will alternate and share all this knowledge - we'll continue to visit and hope to cook there again! Thank you John for all your hard work and to everyone at the shed, you're all great!

We have since worked with X-Church and Slum Gothic to collaboratively develop a social enterprise dedicated to food and events! This is a very exciting initiative and we have loved working with local young people, developing skills, experience and opportunities to explore their creativity and to build something that is at least sustainable and potentially expansive!
We helped the team to deliver food at 'X24', a 24-hour festival, open mic nights and a Multicultural Welcome Celebration, with more to follow! Keep in touch to find out more...
