We delivered 8 free cookery sessions across Lincoln as part of a continuation of successful courses that we have been delivering since 2023. Over this time period we have donated over 200 slow cookers and inspired many people to learn how to cook for the first time, how to create healthy meals, we have supported people to start cooking for their families and we have helped people to save money on food and energy!
Within our slow cooker projects, we have collaborated with City of Lincoln Council, Citizens Advice, the Lincolnshire Financial Inclusion Partnership and Acts Trust's Restore Programme. We have enjoyed working with St John the Evangelist Church Bracebridge Heath, St John the Baptist Church Ermine, Moorland Community Centre, Burton Road Methodist Church, the Community Grocery, Ermine Library and Mint Lane Cafe.
If you are interested in attending or working with us in the future please get in touch, we usually aim to start slow cooker courses in autumn, carrying on into the winter months.
